If you live in Massachusetts, don’t labor under the misconception that you own your vehicle, or a boat or plane. Under a bill sponsored by a Democrat legislator, the Commonwealth would forbid you from adding a hidden compartment to secure your private property, such as a handgun, money or other valuables.
Designed as an alleged anti-drug law, the bill would punish those who add a hidden compartment after the vehicle is purchased with a two-year mandatory prison sentence, and five years for subsequent offenses.
Even worse, the law would empower police to seize the vehicle under civil forfeiture law. Lawmakers in support of the House bill claim it’s necessary to prosecute the war on drugs. State police officials have endorsed the bill as needed to discourage drug trafficking.

Actually they don’t have to even charge you to confiscate items from you. Existing civil forfeiture laws say they can take your money or other items because it’s possible you had them illegally, then you have to fight the government in court to try and get them back. There are hundreds of cases where people have fought the government, proven they were innocent, and still not recovered all their property. The forfeiture laws are very broad and designed to keep you from recovering your property.
Democrat socialists will steal your rights one at a time and will steal everything you have under to “civil forfiture” BS law. Better vote out every democrat socialists liberal first chance you get.

Civil Forfeiture should be made illegal in all states except where Government Officials are found to be in violation of State and Federal Law and they would have to forfeit all items of value they have including all retirement programs! Police departments should not be able to finance their departments from Civil Forfeiture! Who determines a hidden compartment, the vehicle manufacturer or the enforcement agency?
