South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

they should be teaching the entire Cons$#%&!@*ution not just parts of it. the entire do$#%&!@*ent is genius and near perfect in its provisions for our protections
I agree.. When my daughter was in public school they didn’t teach much about our history.. They would even skip history cl$#%&!@* 4 other subjects… REAL shame….

In a recent interview, kids don’t even know who George Washington is , how bad is that .
Having been educated in the 1940’s and 50’s when we were thoroughly indoctrinated in The Cons$#%&!@*ution and Bill of Rights (American History required to graduate from MHS in Midland Texas) it is heartbreaking to accept the deterioration of America in every area.
I personally believe when Hollywood and television broke down the barriers of decency winning “the right” to seduce young minds in particular with rebellion against God and Country! I sometimes feel only the Amish stood a chance to hang on to their beliefs because we were inundated from every direction.

This should be a must in public schools !
More time is spent on sports and PC than on learning ! get over it .We learned more with less cost in 8 years than they do onw in 12 !
