South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

The study of the country’s history should start in kindergarten and go from there to study the constitution ……use to be that way…can you start teaching that George Washington was the first president..saw on TV that college students didn’t know that he was the first president….ignorance is coming out of our schools…..I bet some of the teachers wouldn’t be able to answer that question….for the love of Mike…..they can’t even speak properly and they dress the way they speak…time to upgrade people….you are paying for this!!!!!!
Its our Countries History and Michelle and BO are going to keep us from allowing Students to Study History, especially the History of this Country. WEll what do you expect. With 90 percent of the Schools full of Illegal Hispanics, why should they be requried to study American History. Their History is all in Mexico and South America. Bo and Michelle only require the History of their becoming President. First Black young man to become a President by default,. Put in by the only Congress to demand that we stop printing History books that contain our Actual History, Michelle continues to demand that Lunches be served according to her wishes. They both demand that your Child learn Common Core. Pretty impossoible for Teachers nowdays to teach children without knowing their language as English doesn’t need to be learned immediately when you set foot across the US Border. Now somebody will say that everybody is an Immigrant. That Argument is old and way out of line. If your a Legal Immigrant then you learned English and you moved on,. If your an Illegal then you are still stlruggling and hoping that this Presdient is going to declare Amnesty. No way. Amnesty will never be declared and put through. So don’t believe the other Hispanics that tell you, “it will happen” Obummer is not your friend and he certainly isn’t ours.

thankfully my daughters does teach all about these things. They all have an extreme love for our country, know who the govenor is, and none of them like obama. Most of them hunt and are extremely safe with them.
these are 3rd graders. They have been taught the constition since pre school. And people call us out of touch rednecks.
Our educational system is broken in many cases! I doubt many modern day high school students even have a clue what the Constitution is. History, with all its glory and it’s warts, needs to be taught. Common Core needs to be abandoned.
It is unbelievable to think there needs to be a law requiring the study of the constitution!!!!!
