South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

it’s about time!
yes instead of trying to make Muslims out of them!
all prospective congressmen, senators, presidents vice presidents, and supreme court justices should be required to take an intense class and pass a board exam before they can run for office. Most of the rest of us have to pass board exams and do regular continuing education to get and keep our jobs. Even truck drivers have to have CDL and background check.
When I took History in school it was part of the course, but that was 55 years ago.
I wonder how many citizens could pass the citizenship test . We need to educate everyone while there is still time to do it.
Not a bad idea. But instead of focusing on the 2nd Amendment, perhaps they should include the whole Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. You know, teach that whole “history” thing?
Our whole educational system has been compromized over the years by the liberals who have been elected to office. America’s fundamental laws, pledge, liberties and the history of this great country should be mandatory curriculum from Grades-K through 12th grade. That is how patriots are developed and stay true to their country.
Should be mandatory class in order to graduate, not just a short 3 week class. Should be a year of Civics/Constitution/Bill of Rights/Founding Fathers documents.
that is a very good question.
Good idea, but you can see how much good it did for Obama, and he supposedly taught it at college level. God forbid.
