South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

focus on the whole constitution and make them know who the pres, vp and others of importance in our gov. Today’s educational system stinks. they teach ONLY about this waste in gov now. They don’t touch on our history that we should be so proud of!!! My eighth grade teacher driled on this info everday and we had a 50 question quiz on it everyday. on our graduation day, only 7 students didn’t make 90%.
When did this stop being taught? It was a clear subject when I was in school in the 50s. Has education fallen so low?
good and that’s what the school needs !! not a stupid craps of education that don’t have the three R’s or anything related to our history of USA and the Constitution !
I like this. Why not?
yes
Common core and no child left behind.
Exactly- last Month my child was reciting the Preamble & learning the Constitution, we think it’s great-teach what’s real!
Good! That what every American should learn this!
all of the states should do this
History class must have change a great deal since I went to school.
