South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

I grew up in the NW ‘burbs of Chicago. We were required to pass a Constitution Test in order to graduate 8th Grade. That was in 1976.
