South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

Yeah
When I went to school Civics class was mandatory in both Junior and Senior High Only a liberal Progressive takeover of our School system would find it necessary to remove them from the academic curriculum
IT used to be. What happened
Guy’s like Rep. Clemmons, and Ted Cruz, give me hope our known liar of a President, will be made to abay the law. But, more work needed!
i was required to take it 8th grade and. when i was a senior. in high school
It & 10 Commandments!
Sure wish someone would tell me why not! You imagine the young adults that are now in college and know nothing about the Constitution!!!
I believe this is so needful in todays youth. Hope it goes through and nationwide.
What do you have the constitution for if no one learns it? Everything is half assed in America. No follow through. It is so screwed up because each state has different laws and regulations. You need conformity.
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the right belongs to individuals, while also ruling that the right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of either firearms or similar devices. State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right per the incorporation of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.
