South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

Out of a class of mayb 200
I was so proud to have passed the first time !

But no one was pushed thru w/o passing !
I am a patriot !!
First, we’d better make sure to qualify the teachers, …
it should be a required course!!!!!! 🙁
My education started with US history – 7th grade, world history 8th grade, each year a new course ending with US Gov 12th grade. So why did they change what was working. This should be the greater question. One of my history teachers never spoke of it, but was Jewish, his wife taught Eng Lit., we read the Holocaust. Pair that with world history, you get your eyes peeled back. I homeschooled, selected my own curriculum including travel experiences to DC.
Us Southern Christian that hold our guns with god.
Amen!
I have trouble ubderstanding why the Study of the Constitution was not required before the Bill. What were they studying…Dancing With the Stars?
We DO cover the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights in Lake Hamilton School District!!!!
