South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons (R) has proposed a measure for a state curriculum that would require students to complete a three-week class on the US Constitution. The course would focus on the Second Amendment using materials endorsed by the NRA and if a companion bill is passed along with it students would also attend shooting ranges.

AMEN!
When I was in high school we had to pass a state and federal constitution test and if you didn’t pass you didn’t graduate.
I had to take Government in High school. What happened ? Some of our kids graduate & can’t ever read or write….
Why start with just the second Amendment…? ALL Students should be required to be Taught the ENTIRE Constitution…. along with courses in Civics & the Electrorial process. Of course a semester of practical economical bookeeping & budgeting wouldnt hurt either…..
When I went to high school in the dark ages, we were required to take a course to graduate that was called American Government. We learned things that Obama never knew when he was teaching it like there are three branches of the government and each branch has it’s duties and the others have theirs. The president cannot make laws. The Senate and House of Representatives do that and he is allowed to veto. The Senate and House cannot do his duties either. Was he out behind the barn when he was going to school. I guess they didn’t teach that course in Indonesia.
It should be a law.
Because the liberal pansies don’t do anything to defend it so why teach it? Want the younger generation to grow up knowing what their freedoms were before politically correct?
PLEASE!
All states need this! Our children need to know about their rights!
They take courses in looting, burning and being thugs now…
