As the debate over President Trump’s immigration policy and initiatives grows, so does his apparent determination to see his campaign promises put into action. The left, as expected, is in a fit of self-righteous rage over the efforts being made to curtail illegal immigration and remove illegals from the US, especially those who have committed crimes. However, also as expected, Mr. Trump is not backing down in the face of such resistance to the enforcement of the law, but is doubling-down.
The possibility of federal over-reach is a concern, especially in matters of law enforcement. Most crimes are of a local nature, and as such are the proper responsibility of state and local law enforcement. Injecting federal authorities into local matters is seldom a good idea no matter how it appealing it might be at the time. Hence, those who love liberty should be concerned when they see anything that appears to move towards the federalization of the state and local police.
All of this said, we are in anything but a normal environment. Cities and states are in active rebellion against established federal laws regarding immigration, and are harboring illegals in an effort to thwart their deportation. It’s an outrageous situation, so it comes as little surprise that the solution being implemented is somewhat unconventional. More on page two.
I know locally a common topic is how much disdain for seeing ever increasing presence of military look to local police. I think it,s a good idea to not add federalism to primary local services for much of anything. We already have emergency and contingencies in place for when necessary.
I did not like it when Obama put local law enforcement of many cities under fed control. And I don’t like Trump doing it either. Local police are supposed to follow local and fed laws.

Your worried about people sucking off the system but people want to make abortion illegal. What do you think these babies will be on. I’m not just talking about couple of hundred babies, I’m talking thousands of babies who will be in care of the government. These babies then will be so life deprived that they will end up in prison with the tax payers paying for it. Something to think about.
Just cut all federal funding to the cities and states that will not comply with the immigration laws already in place. Pretty sure they will change pretty quick.

I’m for immigration not supporting anyone who are here illegally. We have to be careful of our own laws that are inacted so that they don’t end up being a vice used against us much like the government spying on its citizens and claiming its for terrorist purposes. This is my opinion if yours is different well good we all spent need to think alike.

Every person that chose to walk across the border or stay longer than they were legally allowed knew their time was limited and chose to take a chance on being deported or worse. Why is everyone so upset now that their time has ended?
