Catholic Church believes that abortion is an atrocious act, a grave sin and they have certainly excommunicated many for commiting the act.
However, because it is a Holy Year, a year of Jubilee, the Pope wants to show mercy and allow all priests to forgive any woman with a repentant “contrite heart”.
Pope Francis said that women who have had abortions, “bear in their heart the scar of this agonizing and painful decision” and thus mercy is to be shown during Dec. 8 to Nov. 26.

Really…..who died and made him GOD……..I serve a living God and he forgives….don’t need a POPE to forgive me anything. I go to the my God, my Lord and Savior……forgiving and then continuing to do something means you have not repented….mankind always trying to find a way not to be responsible for their own choices. The killing of babies goes on and on and on………..what about that does the Pope not understand?
Pope Francis is certainly not perfect, and i do not agree with everything he says and does. But I do feel that overall he is one of the best, if not THE ,best pope ever.
