Catholic Church believes that abortion is an atrocious act, a grave sin and they have certainly excommunicated many for commiting the act.
However, because it is a Holy Year, a year of Jubilee, the Pope wants to show mercy and allow all priests to forgive any woman with a repentant “contrite heart”.
Pope Francis said that women who have had abortions, “bear in their heart the scar of this agonizing and painful decision” and thus mercy is to be shown during Dec. 8 to Nov. 26.

Yes Amy….the faithful who sit in the pews every Sunday are not part of the corruption…..it really starts at the pulpit although many at that level are not corrupted either…..just some…..the pedophiles and then those above who protect them…..the higher the level, (As far as I can tell anyway.), the more rampant the corruption….I used to get really upset knowing these men pretty much “got away with it” until I realized….no….just here on earth…..cause the minute they p$#%&!@* from this planet….well……I suspect the the devil will have one wowzer of a tailgate party roasting a lot of their souls….
God commmanded to confess our sins to him directly. Not talk to another man and confess to another man. No man on earth has the power to forgive sins.
