“Fanaticism and fundamentalism, as well as irrational fears which foster misunderstanding and discrimination, need to be countered by the solidarity of all believers,” Pope Francis stated in a speech to Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other political leaders.

I have to say I agree with you 95%. I’m not Catholic and I’m not trying to brag up the Catholic Church. My point is that as Christian and hearing the things coming from this pope to me are a stab in the back to Christianity. As for the other things that you brought up, I’m disgusted by them just as it sounds like you are. As far as the history of the Catholic Church. I am not so educated as I obviously need to get.
