When the Pope visited Turkey in 2014, he prayed in Istanbul’s Blue Mosque towards Mecca and stated it would be wrong to equate Islam with violence.
“Fanaticism and fundamentalism, as well as irrational fears which foster misunderstanding and discrimination, need to be countered by the solidarity of all believers,” Pope Francis stated in a speech to Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other political leaders.

I too am a cradle catholic but am leaving the church because of him and bishops that tell me that Genesis is just a story. But I have never left God.

The majority of what the Catholic Church does is antichrist, and has been, since way back when they changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday to accommodate the pagan sun worshipers! They confess their sins to a priest instead of Jesus, worship idols, and are also responsible for killing close to 100 million, for not following their changes and such! The sad thing is that the majority of churches follow these traditions of man and paganism that have been passed down for many many years! This is not to say that any of them are bad, but only that they are being mislead!
