After New Hampshire’s State Rep. Amanda Bouldin’s (D) critized New Hampshire state Rep. Josh Moore (R) proposed legislation that would make breastfeeding a crime, Moore posted that “he should be allowed to grab the nipples of breastfeeding mothers if a law banning women exposing breasts in public didn’t pass.” It was redacted from Facebook, but re-posted by Slate. He is boorish and far from being the voice of “pro-family” values.
Bouldin responded by calling her Republican colleagues “small government” to which Moore replied: “Who doesn’t support a mothers right to feed?” Moore responded. “Don’t give me the liberal talking points Amanda. If it’s a woman’s natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans [inclination] to stare at it and grab it. After all, it’s ALL relative and natural, right?”
Tasteless? Yes! And it gets worse on page two.
Idiot
Is this guy a muslim sounds like it … has no respect for women he is definitely a nut case…
My only comment is that women should be more modest and not show themselves while nursing………………it’s called Class and modesty…… use a little covering…. otherwise men will think they can pinch you. LOL
Naked women should expect this tim.
Joann Smith Simpson, I breastfed all my children but I did not pull my breast out for everyone to see. They make shirts, sweaters, bras for breastfeeding no reason to make a display of it!
Breastfeed but be discreet about it. I don’t wanna see your$#%&!@*at a public place especially when I’m eating.
Touché
I didn’t lay my bare naked breast out to nurse. I either unbuttoned my shirt or lifted it up. But why should anyone be offended by a bare breast. It is the same thing as an arm or leg. It was created for only one purpose, and that is to feed our young. Babies need that skin to skin contact to create synapsis in their brain, you know the bonding kind. We women say we are liberated, yet we hide from nurture our own gift from God. Let’s show every bit of our skin, and nothing is ever said, in fact they get applauded. Show a tiny bit of breast only to feed, and everyone goes crazy.
You really can’t be shocked by media anymore. Let’s find the biggest idiot who can take something so completely over the edge to the left or to the right so it outrages someone and then hopefully effects your vote for the side they pandering for!!!
No one has ever said anything against breastfeeding your child ever!!!
It does not violate anyones rights to use a little discretion, since they did create bras, shirts & sweaters for that reason.
However on the other side of the pendulum you will hear a lot more about how good it is, a request to change ones own views on the matter.
Many times to the tune of, “shame on you for not doing it”!!!
Our understanding of fair, right and wrong seems to be quit confused!!!
I believe that a woman who just whips her breast out in full view has no respect. On the other hand, this is not an invitation for anyone to grab her or humiliate her. They have modesty blankets for breast feeding. Use them.
