The Third Amendment was created to protect your home from being quartered by soldiers without your consent. It has very rarely been a matter of debate or litigation, until now.
Federal district court Judge Andrew Gordon ruled that the police are exempt from the 3rd Amendment with a case out of Henderson, Nevada after a family had their home broken into and seized by local law enforcement who stated they needed the home to gain a “tactical advantage” against suspected criminals in a neighboring house.
Police actually forced their way into this family’s home, pepper-balled the father and his dog and then incarcerated the man for a day.

I’m pretty sure the cons$#%&!@*ution protects against quarter of troops in your home, you know one of those laws they swear are outdated, apparently not….
The British are here Americans…
More gastapo police state laws going through
Thanks GOP!
Nope
As with virtually everything posted by the wingnut “Truth” And Action, this story is also untrue. Judge Andrew Gordon ACTUALLY ruled that it was not a violation of the Third Amendment because police are not SOLDIERS – they’re not, obviously. He DID NOT rule that it was legal for police to takeover a privat citizen’s house. IN FACT, not that any of you foolish people care about facts – he said that it may be a violation of the Third (if I’m not mistaken) & Seventh Amendments, and is probably ILLEGAL. He was only ruling on the claim by the complaintants that it was a Third Amendment violation. Before you all spew your vile Obama hate, find out what’s really going on. truthandaction thinks you’re a bunch of idiots. Don’t prove them right.
This is nothing more than propaganda. I am an LEO and have heard no such thing. This appears to be geared to gets people pissed off and shoot cops and nothing more
shoot first, don’t give a rat’s butt later…
So many gullible people on this site… So sad to see so many stupid people believing all the bs they post here. Your first clue is that all the articles they use as reference are their own.
