One challenge of our newly developing technology is that it can be misused so easily. That is especially true when it comes to electronic snooping. Identity theft and unauthorized transfer of information and wealth is rampant, with many in society wondering if there is any privacy left at all. While many fret that criminals will empty their bank account and ruin their credit, there is also a growing concern that the bigger threat may very well be from police and government who are anxious to exam our records, our activities, and seemingly even our thoughts.
Police and government are made up of ordinary citizens, which means that the potential for misuse of our information is always there. And it seems that there is a limitless desire to know our most intimate and private details, all in the name of keeping society safe. In England police are seeking greater and greater authority to dig into the background of every individual, including delving into the Internet search history of every individual in the country.
