The Democrats just never get tired of trying to promote gun control to gun owners and failing miserably. Of course, this is because many of them simply can’t relate to them, as was made painfully apparent this weekend.
Speaking at the NBC/Youtube Democratic debate on Sunday, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley defended his position on gun control by touting his relationship with gun owners. Attempting to defend his anti-Second Amendment record, O’Malley claimed that he’s, “never met a self-respecting deer hunter that needed an AR-15 to down a deer.”
Setting aside the unlikelihood of his claim that he regularly fraternizes with gun owners and deer hunters, O’Malley’s statement is stupefying. Yes, maybe deer hunters don’t need AR-15’s to shoot deer, but have you considered the possibility that maybe, just maybe, they need them to defend themselves?
To be fair, O’Malley, with his well-trained security escorts, probably doesn’t understand why anybody would need an AR-15 to protect themselves and their family. It should, however, keep him from opening his mouth on topics that he has little understanding of.

It’s people like him that shouldn’t even be politicians . That’s the face of corruption right there , and once they start coming after one right they won’t stop until they take all our rights away
WELL HERE IS A MAN THAT HAS NEVER READ THE 2 ND ADMENT. RIGHTS , THAN STAND UP AND SHOW HIS STUPIDIT , ITS NOT ABOUT HUNTING , ITS ABOUT AMERICAN PROTECTION FROM THE GOVERNMENT , STUPID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loop
hey O’Malley if you want gun control go live some place else you pinko piece of trash when someone that knows nothing about hunting or the constitution its time for those people to get the hell out of my country
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED
and that’s why Marty O’Malley never rose above 1% in the polls…..btw Marty, it’s not the deer that concerns me – it’s the predators on two legs that concerns me.
not for deer used to keep corruption out of our lives……..
I’ve never met a self-respecting American that would fall for this line of rubbish.
I have been witness to power hungry politicians using seemingly ignorant language in regards to the U.S Constitution in order to pursue a controlling yet clandestine agenda.
I don’t remember the term “Hunt” or “Hunting” being included in the U.S Constitution.
I doubt O’Malley remembers the term being used in there either.
He’s not stupid. He knows better.
So why the hunting reference?
Smoke and Mirrors-Provides talking points to the less educated- It’s a total façade.
An armed society prevents total government control.
O’Malley is convinced that at least 50% of Americans are ignorant enough to believe his hunting rhetoric.
O’Malley must want total control…. or at the very least, more control.
The fact of the matter is this. O’Malley wants something that is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. He will have to do more that play Constitutionally ignorant before I surrender my 2A rights.
isn’t it odd that the people who have a stunning array of tactical and nuclear weapons at their disposal, supply cartels and terrorists – uh, I mean “freedom fighters” – with arms, and participate in drone strikes, are so concerned that Joe Citizen might have an M4gery with *gasp* a 30 round magazine?
The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting,$#%&!@* I need an AR15 simply because I want one.
