The Democrats just never get tired of trying to promote gun control to gun owners and failing miserably. Of course, this is because many of them simply can’t relate to them, as was made painfully apparent this weekend.
Speaking at the NBC/Youtube Democratic debate on Sunday, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley defended his position on gun control by touting his relationship with gun owners. Attempting to defend his anti-Second Amendment record, O’Malley claimed that he’s, “never met a self-respecting deer hunter that needed an AR-15 to down a deer.”
Setting aside the unlikelihood of his claim that he regularly fraternizes with gun owners and deer hunters, O’Malley’s statement is stupefying. Yes, maybe deer hunters don’t need AR-15’s to shoot deer, but have you considered the possibility that maybe, just maybe, they need them to defend themselves?
To be fair, O’Malley, with his well-trained security escorts, probably doesn’t understand why anybody would need an AR-15 to protect themselves and their family. It should, however, keep him from opening his mouth on topics that he has little understanding of.

Used a .300 this year; works great.
For two hundred yards or less it is supposed to be an awesome round
Idiot
Thanks Emmanuel Goldstein.
I never met a self respecting politician either but we have to put up with the slim bags
Ar-15’s, Ak-47’s and other types of such weapons aren’t for hunting you idiot, they are designed for$#%&!@*heads like you. They are designed for corrupt government and politicians. The 2nd Amendment was designed in such a way that “We The People” could take a stand against Tyranny. Whatever weaponry the government has, we the people ought to have…it levels the playing field. If Americans could afford it, we should have grenades and grenade launchers, we should have our own armed drones, we should have tanks at our disposal, we should have anti-IED vehicles, we should have body armor, we should have shoulder mounted rocket launchers, we should have thermal capabilities, and we should have these things readily available at the cost of our government. Our government should give the American people, free of cost, at least 10% of military surplus, not just to the police departments. As it stands right now, without added gun control, we are already out-gunned by private military (Mercenaries), we are already out-gunned by our police departments, we are already out-gunned by government agencies, we are already outgunned by terrorists…the only thing American Patriots have to overthrow a corrupt government, is the largest military in the world (We The Militia), (We The People) a country full of brave men and women who say no, we will not, and who are willing to lay down their lives for Life, Liberty, Freedom and The Pursuit of Happiness. Remember, there is a gun behind every blade of grass and a people that will fight to their very last breath to defend our way of life. We will not tolerate much longer those whom we entrusted to protect our way of life, we will not allow our soldiers who never came home to die have died in vain, all so that a few go about making themselves rich and powerful at our expense. We will not comply, we will not go quietly into the night, we will not allow our voice to go unheard and drowned out…the land of the free and the home of the brave.
What State$#%&!@*this idiot ?
Got it..
Once again so y poo u get it… The second amendment is not about hunting or even protecting your home, it’s about the right to bear arms in order to take back control of a corrupt government! If you want to comment on the second amendment I suggest you READ IT FIRST!!!
It depends on what the limit is during deer season, just kidding. o’malley evidently has not read the constitution because I’ve never found that the 2nd Amendment referred to deer hunting but to government officials such as him.
