If you have been paying attention to the news stories out of college campuses over the last decade or so, then you’ve heard a lot of talk of sexual assaults on college campuses, and the movement to try and stop future assaults from happening. The government has tried pushing harsher legislation to combat rape on college campuses — but many young men are being convicted in the court of public opinion instead of a court of law.
The legislation has resulted in many male students being expelled from universities just for being accused of sexual assault. There have been a number of cases where the male student was found to be completely innocent, but the damage was already done. These students were expelled from their current universities — and many are unable to enroll anywhere else because of the stigma attached to them.
With all of the harsh penalties surrounding sexual crimes these days, it was quite a shock this week when the Oklahoma appeals court said that it is not illegal for a man to perform certain sex acts on a woman who isn’t even conscious. Women should get conceal carry permits and get justice themselves.
Wasn’t there a “BILL” on that?
Women can thank Bill Clinton for this.
Sorry Charley but this is rape and you will be held accountable one way or the other.
Hugh Murris I understand from your perspective and, for lack of a better term, that fucking sucks that you have had to be as strong as you are. Why can I say that without knowing you? Because 1) you haven’t killed yourself, 2) you openly talk about it, and 3) it sounds like you use your experience to help others. That said, I think its important to teach women to be vigilant about watching their drinks and not putting themselves in bad positions but it’s WAAAAY more important to teach men not to rape. This society doesn’t do that. We say it’s ok to rape if she was wearing provocative clothing, or flirting with you, or drunk, or engaged in a heavy make out session but backed off because she felt uncomfortable. Men need to know it’s NOT ok to rape and they don’t.
Everyone likes a good blowy.
If it was your wife, daughter, granddaughter or grandmother what would you do Mr Judge.
Forced oral sex, that’s what teeth are for, bite that son of a$#%&!@*off!
I’m sickened on both sides of this, boys falsely accused and the girls who are abused why the boy gets away with it. That’s going to cause a whole new batch of problems, if that was my daughter, I would not even need a weapon. The minute the judge read that sentence a pen to the temple and the boy would be done. Harsh I know. But I am a victim of the courts caring more about the grown man that hurt me, and I was a child. That kind of non consent doesn’t go away.
That is bullsh–
