No doubt expecting resistance to the unilateral order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives aimed to put the ban of 5.56mm ‘green tip’ ammo on a fast-track. News of the ban drove a massive increase in demand for the ammunition, up to 1,000% of what it was prior to the Executive Order. Prices jumped in reaction, by up to 30% in response to the sudden demand and dwindling stocks.

The BATFE tried to ban this ammo and failed so now the president feels the need to circumvent congress and issue an executive order to ban this ammo. This POTUS really hates America. Congress, do your job and draw up the articles for impeachment.
