After eight long and infuriating years, president Barack Obama is finally set to leave the White House for good on Friday, January 20th, 2017. With his departure, he leaves behind a legacy of increased racial tensions, sky-high public deficits, and the spread of radical Islamic terror across the Western world. One thing he isn’t leaving behind, however, is his presidential paycheck.
Despite the fact that he will no longer be serving as the country’s chief executive, Obama’s disastrous run as president has earned him the right to a taxpayer-funded salary for life.
Unhappy with this fact, lawmakers in Washington D.C. sent a bill to Obama’s desk that would decrease the amount of money Obama would make as a former president.
Of course, Obama vetoed the bill immediately and released a message in order to explain himself.

Are these publicly held offices or what first of all if I only work somewhere for 4 years or something like that I never get any kind of retirement or anything how come they only have to work for a couple years and get retirement the rest of their life they should get retirement to begin with just letting them have the job should be more than enough favor for them I mean most of them to go back to work afterwards don’t they we need to set up some kind of thing for Congress to pass to say they should get no retirement pay because most of them what do get retirement pay never did us any good anyways and just shame and keeping us in poverty level with their new laws and regulations and everything else every time something passes it stings by then next thing you know everything goes up just like the next thing what you get $15 an hour wait to you see how much it’s going to cost you for a gallon of milk us over living
