The two term limit wouldn’t apply during a state of national emergency. For example, if BOTH candidates were to die ( by “accident”, of course), then the elections would be suspended until new candidates could be selected. This would require the POTUS remain in office, until the state of emergency were lifted. Which, can only be lifted by the Comnander In Chief. You figure it out…
