As the Obama Administration prepares to tighten access to guns, the President met Wednesday with former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to help complete the executive order that would expand background checks on gun sales while closing the “gun show loophole”.
Bloomberg is only one of many gun control advocates the president has met with in recent weeks. The order, which is currently caught in a web of legal and administrative questions is currently without a timeline.
However, even as he works to chip away at another constitutional right, a new survey is showing falling support for a ban on assault weapons, which both Obama and Bloomberg are currently advocating as a means to prevent gun-related deaths. Hillary Clinton also pushed for an assault ban during a campaign speech earlier this week.
In the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns group turned into Everytown for Gun Safety with the expectations of being able to stand against the NRA. The group spent millions, most of which came from Bloomberg’s own fortune, only to fall just short of their goals on several different occasions.

Even if they passed a ban with no grandfather clause, who do you think is going to be the ones to remove the banned weapons from homes, the Police, the National Gaurd, the Military? It’ll be none of the above. I have friends and family in all organizations, weve had this talk time and again and all but a few said they’d walk away if asked to do it. Besides, most Military and Police are on the Conservative side.

Registration does absolutely nothing to deter gun crimes. A bad person will shoot you just as fast with a registered gun as an un-registered gun. The only reason for registration is to know where to confiscate guns. In reality a mandatory registration creates more gun crimes as any gun found not registered makes the owner a criminal. This is just a way to control and disarm us. It will be a huge waste of money all to take away rights. We are not required to register our other Constitutional rights, and freedom of speech has killed lots of people.
Obama is trying his best to start a civil war, as the world war that he has created rages on every continent, except for the artic and antarctic.

It takes a president of congress to pass a law…congress has not passed it…there are laws pertaining to who is allowed to become president..this fool isn’t even qualified for the job…so all papers signed by him are good for nothing…except evidence at his trial
I am concerned about his playing with the no fly list. There are countless military people who have slammed Obama on public media and were out on the no fly list. They could conceivably put anyone who disagrees with them on the list. How long until they then came for any guns these people may own.
