As the Obama Administration prepares to tighten access to guns, the President met Wednesday with former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to help complete the executive order that would expand background checks on gun sales while closing the “gun show loophole”.
Bloomberg is only one of many gun control advocates the president has met with in recent weeks. The order, which is currently caught in a web of legal and administrative questions is currently without a timeline.
However, even as he works to chip away at another constitutional right, a new survey is showing falling support for a ban on assault weapons, which both Obama and Bloomberg are currently advocating as a means to prevent gun-related deaths. Hillary Clinton also pushed for an assault ban during a campaign speech earlier this week.
In the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns group turned into Everytown for Gun Safety with the expectations of being able to stand against the NRA. The group spent millions, most of which came from Bloomberg’s own fortune, only to fall just short of their goals on several different occasions.

A gun is like any other tool in the hands of a person. how this person uses the tool is no diffrent then a speeding car hitting alot of people or a person with a knife stabbing people on a subway. Its only a Tool that is getting a bad rap due to people against guns. Are knives next or planes no disrespect as what has happen in the past but a gun is only a human tool.
Our constitution is the law of the land and the resent supreme court decisions are not based on our constitution but on political agenda’s so the court has been compromised and is no longer legitimate !! We are no longer America without our constitutional rights period !! Wake Up before it’s too late !!

It’s only president law, not a federal law. It’s not an amendment to the constitution. The next president can simply over turn it. It’s just like Obama it doesn’t mean a thing. Good luck trying to get every gun in America registered. In my state of NY we had to retested our assault rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Only a handful of people registered them, something like 40,000 guns were done. No one knows what the number of guns that weren’t registered is.
I don’t think people are nearly organized enough to mount an offensive against the military and police. Maybe a guerilla war. But nothing substantial.
