Barack Obama is urging Americans not to make any assumptions about what motivated a man in Louisiana to kill three police officers this week. This is likely because Obama himself indirectly played a role in the murder.
Obama has had two high-profile chances over the course of the past few weeks to condemn Black Lives Matter and the violence they incite. He had the opportunity after five Dallas cops were killed during a Black Lives Matter protest, and he had the opportunity to do so after three more were slain just days later in Baton Rouge.
Instead, the President of the United States championed the movement, and condemned those who spoke too harshly against men who kill cops.

Democracy vs Republic:
I was in a discussion with an acquaintance, who was upset that NATO did not require a country to be a “Democracy” to be a member! My answer was that being a “Democracy” was too unstable of a political system and that NATO should not allow countries that are a Democracy to be members. He was alarmed that I had abandoned my freedom principles. I did clearly explain, after using my statement to get his attention, that the issue was not with my thinking, but with his question. You see, most people have been fooled into thinking that a Democracy is good, when it is not. A Democracy allows the “majority” to punish the “minority” to “death” without lawful recourse. It was the Maximilien Robespierre Democracy of the French Revolution that frightened the American Founding Fathers as much as the tyranny of King George. As such, the balance between the tyranny of the majority, and the tyranny of “one King” is balanced precariously between the two polarities of tyranny with the “rule of law”, where the individual minority is always protected by the “rule of law”. This form of balance is called a “Constitutional Republic”. It is the most stable form of governance, as it maximizes the freedom of everyone who participates. Participation is the key…which is much more than going to the voting booth one per year. In a Republic, the “citizen” is the key player, not the elected servants. Each citizen has the duty and responsibility to be as self-sufficient as possible, to be educated, and to participate in the daily life locally where he or she has the most influence. It is this type of participation that was expected when America was created. Without this kind of understanding of the roles and expectations of self-governance, the Republic cannot be maintained, and it will fall first to a Democracy and then into a dictatorship to save the people from the blood and ravages of the Democracy. As the French said in the beginning….”off with her head” and then they didn’t stop until Napoleon forced them. Participate locally, and make sure that the people you elect for every office, support the constitution. You are the citizen, and it is your duty.
