In the latest affront to America, the Obama administration has changed the Oath of Allegiance for newly naturalized Americans.
Now, new Americans will no longer have to pledge to defend our nation due to Obama removing the oath that requires new citizens to bear arms on behalf of the United States and/or perform non-combatant duties in the armed forces during wartime.

Yes I checked. So it’s right and wrong. The change isn’t for everyone. But still the question I have is why change it at all?

I know. Unlike others I am not looking to blame anyone. I just don’t understand the need to change the pledge at all.
So wrong, I took an oath in 1973 and I have never been released from it and I am glad about that. If people will not help protect our country they should not be in it.

@ Cossin, thank you for your service. I took the Oath 3 times for 30 yrs.
according to that text, new Americans can opt out of military service based on religios training or belief (with proof and do$#%&!@*entation) just like other citizens.
