Just hours before a lone gunman killed two people at the Grand Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, Obama went on the BBC to express his frustration at not being able to pass what he calls ‘common sense’ gun control measures.
“The issue of guns, that is an area where if you ask me where has been the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied it is the fact that the United States of America is the one advanced nation on Earth in which we do not have sufficient common-sense, gun-safety laws,” Obama told the BBC. “Even in the face of repeated mass killings.”
But Obama promises to double up on his efforts in his last few months as President.

There presently exist throughout the country anywhere between 18000 and 20000 laws (no one knows for sure) regulating every aspect of a firearm’s existence – from manufacture, to end use. Firearms are one of the most regulated, one of the most controlled, one of the most restricted commodities in this country. It has long been illegal to assault, rape, rob, extort, threaten, or murder another person, no matter the INANIMATE object used to accomplish any of these acts. Presently there are probably 150-200 million law-abiding, citizen gun owners in this country in possession of some many more millions of firearms, including fully automatic firearms. According to the FBI, the CDC, and the Information bureau of the Department of Justice, gun ownership since 1993 has nearly doubled, while over the same period of time the number of gun crimes have fallen by almost the same percentage. Rifles, including liberals favorite boogeyman, the so called “assault rifle”, is used in so few gun crimes that the FBI doesn’t statistically track them. Far more people are killed by blunt objects than by rifles of ANY kind. Law-abiding owners/users of firearms in this country ARE NOT a problem, CRIMINALS are the problem. Arrest, prosecute, convict and PUNISH THEM, not the innocent. If legal gun owners in this country were the source of the “gun violence” being falsely blathered about, the streets would be awash with blood – they are not. My question for you, for the nay-sayers, for the anti-gun champions, for the purveyors of tyranny, for the Constitutional traitors is simply this: just what new/additional law, specifically, would you propose/enact/enforce that would deter, prevent, or eliminate any CRIMINAL use of a firearm (an INANIMATE object) resulting in the “gun violence” you claim occurs as a result of “lax gun laws”? All that is necessary to understand the rabid efforts to disarm law-abiding American citizen gun owners is to realize that liberal gun control efforts have nothing to do with child safety, have nothing to do with public safety, have nothing to do with the safety of anybody, or anything of the kind. Liberal gun control is about one thing, and one thing only. That one thing is the liberal/socialist’s need to disarm those who would resist, thus impede, their ability to implement the socialist, centralized, big government, cradle to grave, control of people (globalism, New World Order, or One World Government), who, in the liberal elite’s opinion, are not smart enough to make the important decisions necessary to take care of themselves. Recall barack obama’s and hillary clinton’s recent press conference statements alluding to the fact that United Kingdom, and Australian laws dealing with “gun violence” were worthy of consideration in this country (i.e. confiscation). Consider the German Weimar Republic required citizen gun registration in the 1920s and 1930s, but included a provision specifically preventing use of those registrations to seize private citizen’s firearms. This provision was included to address citizen’s fears that the law would be misused to seize firearms from law-abiding citizens. Then in 1933 adolph$#%&!@*came to power. Firearms of the gypsy’s were seized, contrary to law; firearms of the Jews were seized, contrary to law; then firearms of those conveniently designated as “enemies of the state” (terrorist watch list, and no fly list) were seized, contrary to law. Critics can minimize, ridicule, and insult as they like, be dismissive and sarcastic as well, but history has never failed to repeat itself. Every great society has eventually destroyed itself from within. Shallow, condescending, ignorant, contemptuous, doubting Thomas attitudes are indications of an unguarded, trusting, blind faith in authoritarian human nature that nurses complacency to destruction. In modern times every requirement for registration of firearms, has led to the next logical step – confiscation, followed by the deaths of millions of citizens in those societies at the hands of the very government that disarmed them. I don’t believe those attaining power in this country today are any different, nor do I believe them to be of any better, special, moral character so as to avoid misusing, thus protecting, their power, position and/or ideology. The only thing preventing obama, hitlary rotham clinstone (and ilk), from imposing their vision of the socialist, sunshine, unicorn, butterfly, and rainbow utopia upon America is that they have been unable to disarm 150-200 million Americans of some many more millions of firearms.
