At press conference that took place on Tuesday, President Obama made his intentions for America painfully obvious. He referred to the Constitution as a “work in progress” that can “evolve for the good of all Americans”.
He made the claim that he was only trying to inspire. That actually explains a lot. According to our president, his job is “evolve” our Constitution to meet his needs. There’s no need for rule of law when you can turn it into some piece of paper that makes people feel good.
And there is his socialist manifesto. If that was truly what was intended for the constitution, then why did Thomas Jefferson say this in 1803? “Our peculiar security is in the possession of a written Constitution. Let us not make it a blank paper by construction.”
Doesn’t this seem like it’s exactly what President Obama is trying to do? He’s trying to make our Constitution nothing more than a blank piece of paper that he’s free to write on what he will.
Never has any American president shown such disregard for America’s most precious document.

Ste Lios We certainly CAN use amendments to tear down the fabric of the Constitution. And arguably we’ve already done that with the amendment to allow for the direct election of United States Senators.
So the Constitution has never been changed?
Liar!
Changing the Constitution is Treason? Really? You do know the Constitution itself contains 2 mechanisms by which it can be changed, right?
Ummm… I don’t believe it should have been. But, as far as OBOZO is concerned, he juat goes around it and Congress. Our founders NEVER intended for the President to EVER be able to act alone. All executive orders are Unconstitutional and SHOULD be illegal!
Really? You do know that the very first Congress proposed 12 changes to the Constitution, don’t you?
Hurt you big toe
Agree, on a collective agreement, it can change. Changing it to fit for specific agenda, not accept by all, is down right wrong. People in political jobs are sworn to protect it.
That’s right — Especially since none of the people guarding the President even have to undergo a background check.
Those rules are there for a good reason. To protect the interest of the entire people and to have check and balances on government positions.
