Gary Burris, 8 weeks prior to the 9/11 attack there was extensive work done on the elevators in both Towers. Otis Elevator was the only company that has ever worked on the elevators in the World Trade Center but this time they were not used and a different company was. Shortly after the attack in the collapse that company folded and shut its doors, coincidence ?

The latest thing I read is the towers were condemned because of asbestos and the owner got 11 billion dollars in insurance money for a 2.5 million investment. It was loaded with explosives. The people that died didn’t have a chance.
Tammy Bistarkey you really should stop commenting about things you don’t know about. First the towers were not constructed of steel and reinforced concrete. They were constructed of structural steel and aluminum panels which contained the windows. Second yes a jetliner can very easily penetrate those buildings just as they did. Third now this is the only part of your statement that is correct the steel did not melt. Fourth the ensuing fire in the towers burned between 1500 and 1850 degrees. At those temperatures the steel floor trusses lost their structural integrity. As that happened the trusses began to sag. Once they sagged to a certain point they began pulling the steel framework inward. When it pulled inward it reached a point where it could no longer support the weight of the building above and it collapsed. These buildings were designed and built to collapse into their own footprint in case of a catastrophic structural failure. All skyscrapers are designed and built this way. These buildings aren’t built like some super fortress as people think. They are in fact built with rather light weight materials to reduce the overall weight of the building. While the steel columns were 18 inches square at the lower floors they got progressively smaller as it went up. The floors where the planes hit had 8 inch and 6 inch square columns and a jetliner can very easily damage that structure. I see that you work at this and that well that clearly doesn’t include any knowledge of building design or structural design and construction methods and standards. One other note those buildings were built to 1936 building codes. Now as for me I have spent over forty years working in this industry and I can say you don’t know what you are talking about.
