Ed, your premise is wrong. One only has to weaken, not melt the steel beams. Heat at around 1000°C would materially weaken the local beams to over stress and collapse the penetrated floor after heating, pancaking the one story onto the next, adding velocity(which increases total weight) to over stress and collapse the next onto the next lower floor which over stresses (adds weight of that mass with no heat needed) and continues till all stories are on the ground.

So jet fuel burning melted the steel? Jet fuel burns at a Max of 1500 degrees. Steel melts at 2750 degrees. Not to mention the jet fuel burned off in a massive fireball when the planes hit. Oh and by the way. Buildings are never designed to collapse down on themselves. WTC 1 &2 we’re both designed to take impacts from aircraft. WTC 7 wasn’t even hit by a plane it had a few office fires in it….that’s it. So office fires took down a building….nope. Multiple high rise building have burned (with much more fire than wtc7) and did not collapse.
Yes but the plane fuel does not get hotter than the main blast and it would not heat the beams in the basement sure the building came down floor by floor but the beams in the basement had to be dealt with for it to fall in it’s foot print a nd the few that was standing were cut not bent we all have different ideas about this I say it’s the government and I can’t believe otherwise
