Lori, I’m sue your father was an excellent steel worker but it wasn’t a plane hitting a building at 180mph. The plane(larger than a WW11 bomber) and traveling at 500mph+ with extreme heat and the weight of several stories, caused one story to fail(over stress) that pancaked the upper stories into the lower stories and to the ground. Simple physics in complex structure explains collapse.
