Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

Calif has 840 miles of coastline which means they border the ocean which is full of water. They need to learn how to desalinate the sea water – drought problem solved, oh, I forgot the dems run the state they are waiting for handouts and someone else to fix their water shortage.
and they could have constructed a reservoir years ago to collect melting snow off the mountains, but for the environmentalists. So they choose a bug or a snail over human lives. Brilliant, California, just brilliant. And why not desalination plants.. there’s this really large body of water just to your west….
Because the Democratic Party run both California State congress. They prefer saving snaught fish than Californians. California and New York states are the highest tax rates in the nation and both are run by the Democratic Party.
