Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

I remember in the 80’s they were saying there’s another ice age coming. Then in the 90’s early 2000’s global warming. Now climate change. What is the next thing they will get people to panic about?

Actually both of your points are false Michael. Meteorology has only recorded weather for 140 years, but through geology we have determined the climate thoroughly the earth’s history. Also the ice age will likely be a result of climate change somewhere in the future, which is caused by global warming……want to try again?

Cal has been buying water from Washington, Oregon, and Colorado if not several other states for years. It sits on the Pacific ocean, anyone ever heard of a desalination plant, f–king build one, what you pay for water would pay to take the salt out of the ocean water and not even all of Cal can drain the ocean.
