The establishment wing of the Republican party can’t stop fantasizing about sabotaging Donald Trump — and neither can Mitt Romney.
Despite that he cannot win — a fact that he readily admits — Mitt Romney is still talking about entering the 2016 presidential race as an independent candidate.
The former GOP nominee continued his flirtation with the presidency this past Wednesday when he said that people are still encouraging him to jump into the Clinton/Trump race.
Romney is right about one thing. He wouldn’t win… but not because he would be running as an independent candidate. It is because he has already proven that he cannot win — even with a major party behind him. He’s lost twice before, and his third run at the Oval Office would likely be no different.
Despite this, see who is still urging the former Massachusetts Governor into the race on the next page:
No.
You could not beat a damaged Obama last time. You had your chance. Go home!
Forget it! It is a dumb idea!!!!!!
Get over yourself. You could not beat obummer and you can’t beat billery. We don’t want you!
America is trying to convince you not to run, loser !!!
Run where Romney?
That dog ain’t gonna hunt….
Don’t let them do it Mitt. You fooled me once & I voted for you. You will not fool me Twice. I watched the Debate with You & Obama. I am a Republican but even I have to admit you lost. As a Republican I hope you support the Republican because If you don’t you are helping Hillary.
back to mexico where you’re from.
In 2015 when Romney was asked to run, he said no because he had to spend more time with his family, so this makes no sense a year later when legally and officially this would be wrong for him to become the 2016 GOP Presidential Nominee. We already have a legally obtained Presidential Nominee whose name is Donald J. Trump. Plain and simple.
