Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke warns of a second American revolution if gun control and confiscation passes and said he would not enforce laws requiring confiscation in his county.
“First of all, to me that would be an act of tyranny,” he said of the gun control measures currently under consideration. “So the people in Milwaukee County do not have to worry about me enforcing some sort of order that goes out and collects everybody’s handgun, or rifles, or any kind of firearm and makes them turn them in.”

Correct answer!
Damn right!!!
I can see this one issue actually bringing a lot of different people together.to fight the illegal theft of out rights…..
Let’s get this PARTY STARTED!!!!
Someone with some common sense , and a belief in the Constitution. Sounds remarkably smarter than a majority of police chiefs and Sheriffs.
This is ridiculous. First off, the person sworn to uphold the law is publicly stating he will not uphold the law. In fact, he will break the law because he doesn’t believe in it. Sounds much like the common criminal who disregards the law because they believe it doesn’t apply to them. Second, does anyone here actually know what the Constitution says in it’s entirety, or how the Constitution has been interpreted since inception, or even (gasp) how the branches of Gov’t work? The only way the Gov’t is going to confiscate guns or ban them is if the Constitution is amended. I haven’t seen that happen, nor will “the people” or “congress” or the Judicial system pass it. So simmer down with the mass spread of ignorance. It seems that “the people” dismiss the fact that “fundamental rights” are NOT UNLIMITED rights. (kind of like the 1st amendment doesn’t grant TV or radio free reign of obscenity on their content) This is not a new argument. The banning and regulation of firearms has been debated in the Supreme Court as recently as 2007. This case set precedence for the right to bear arms as well as the 1939 case that preceded it. For goodness sakes, every case law is published and ready for the public to read through. These cases set the standard by which the law of the land stands. In case you missed it, here’s an excerpt from D.C. v Heller: “The Court stated that the right to keep and bear arms is subject to regulation, such as concealed weapons prohibitions, limits on the rights of felons and the mentally ill, laws forbidding the carrying of weapons in certain locations, laws imposing conditions on commercial sales, and prohibitions on the carrying of dangerous and unusual weapons. It stated that this was not an exhaustive list of the regulatory measures that would be presumptively permissible under the Second Amendment.” In other words, YES, you can keep and bear arms, but the Federal and State Govt’s have the authority to pass laws for the general welfare of “the people”, not just those who want their firearms. No ONE is taking your guns away.. just calling for better accountability and regulation. If you’re an upstanding citizen, applying for a license or going through a background check does not infringe on your Constitutional right.
I agree go for it.
They can take my gun when im out of ammo
