Dems love to scream about the doomsday and end of the world scenarios they associate with changes to welfare. They label Republicans as heartless for daring to suggest working is a viable source of income instead of welfare.
Maine must be making liberal’s come unhinged as the welfare reform, put in place by Republican Gov. Paul LePage has been an enormous success, with welfare numbers dropping by 56, 506 people and unemployment also benefiting as well.
How one asks? What did they do? Read on page 2.
Mable Joyce There were jobs back in your day? Weren’t they all outsourced to India, China, Brazil, Russia, and a host of other countries? How did you get hired over an H1-B from India? What kind of sanitation engineer degree and experience did you have to apply for that janitor job? What kind of medical assistant degree, certification and years of experience did you have to work for that doctor? Didn’t robots and automation do that kind of work?
Why can’t Ct do the same, no they just give them more and watching how these people are scamming the system and our tax dollars are paying for it! And they complain people are imposing on their privacy, but they can bring 8 to 20 kids to their yard with no adult supervision the bounce the basket ball, foot ball off the neighbors house, trying to tear down the chain link fence, they already broke two of the fence posts three more are leaning, the fence is so stretched and bulged out, put up cameras to see who is damaging our property. Police are no help because these people are section 8 people, and us tax payers are paying for them to live, it just does not make sense.
First of all I worked as a janitor in a government building in Portland Oregon I passed all of the security clearance with no problems if you are upstanding citizen you will pass I had no degree just a good work experience from there I went to o work in a Drs office As a receptionist with training with the Dr and taking classes was able to become an optician from there again with hard work I was the office manager of the DRS PRACTICE FOR total of 20 years also the optician if you really want to be something hard enough you will find away with hard work
Good for Maine, maybe NY will follow
THAT IS GOOD====
Good.

Work for food,isn’t that slavery?If they have jobs someone can do for welfare why don’t they just give them the jobs and pay them instead of making them work for food?I’m a big advocate for less welfare and whatnot but this just doesn’t make sense.
Did you read the article? Welfare isn’t “all” about food, it’s also a lot of $$. But the article is really good, these people don’t have to “work” but they do have expectations that are required to stay on welfare. At first I didn’t get it either. 🙂
about time,,should be done in all states
