Julia Lease from Whitehall, OH has been ordered by her leasing company to take her new American flag off her porch because they state it is “making this complex look bad. It’s detracting from the beauty of everything else.”
“I’ve lived here 36 years and I’ve flown a flag every day since and now all of a sudden they want this flag taken down because they say it detracts from the looks of the apartment complex. Well I can’t see how an American flag can detract from anything. After all, this is our country,” states Lease.

A residential lease is a form of ownership in so much as the lease is in good standing. Unless it is specifically called out in the lease as a mutually agreed upon disallowed activity or action there’s not anything the can do to stop her. If however it is disallowed in the lease, maybe she should have read her lease before she signed it. The same goes for HOA’s & the vast majority of gated communities.

I think that I’d be finding another place to live and tell them where to go and how to get there!
Enough is enough , I served for this country and no one will tell me I can’t fly these colors . If they don’t like it they can return to they’re own country. A lot of people I know would help them pack.
