Around 1,000 gun owners rallied at the state capitol in Olympia, WA, openly armed, this past Saturday in defiance of the newly passed gun control law, I-594.
“This isn’t just a protest. We are here to openly violate the law,” stated Gavin Seim, organizer of the event, named ‘I Will Not Comply’.

We all need to do this in every state.

Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way round, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.

No, it’s not a federal law or mandate. The federal Constitution has certain enumerated powers, that’s why you have to check with the State of Washington Constitution.
These are enumerated powers of the federal government by the Constitution. They only apply at the federal level. Check the State of Washington Constitution.
slowly the sleeping giant is waking up hopefully with the fresh meat in D.C. before they get poisoned from the self centered – sold to the highest bidder crowd get some of the bogus laws peeled that were stuffed in law abiding people who have done nothing wrong faces from chest beating politicians looking to catch a few rays of the spot light knee jerk reaction of feel good laws( for non- sensible people) don’t latter if they only enforced the laws on the books — it’s time they go after the person who made the choice not only to do wrong but to use a gun the gun didn’t no-matter what they tell you pick that person to choose to do wrong but to do wrong with that gun
Scott, You may well be correct about regulation as training. I would also support the requirement of more use safety and storage safety training for gun owners thus decreasing the likelihood of unintended mistakes with, misuse of, and loss of firearms to irresponsible individuals. However, If you are going to use SCOTUS as an authority, it has not found background check to be an unreasonable regulation in relation the the 2nd Amendment. Further, you comments do not address my contention that : “If those who voted against it feeling it is unconstitutional are free to protest and they have access to the courts for redress of their grievances. That is what ‘law-abiding’ citizens do. Non-law-abiding citizens, especially those persistently so, should probably loose their right to have and bear arms, etc.”
they want your guns so when obama lets in all the muslims we won’t have a fighting chance time to get rid of him and his brotherhood
I don’t really get the majority of people who say they need guns for self defense, who do you think is coming after you? But if you want a gun whatever go ahead, there should still be background checks and I think mental health checks because those are the people going on shooting sprees, mentally I’ll people with legally obtained guns. I can see the argument that criminals will still get guns illegally, but how is that a valid argument for letting them get legal guns more easily?
Because if it’s easy for everyone to get them, there is a counter balance. As opposed to ownership being prohibited, then ONLY criminals will have them. The average gun owner is just worried about protection and enjoys it as a hobby, youre less likely to attack someone if you think theres a good change they could whip out a piece and smear your ass all over the place.
