Around 1,000 gun owners rallied at the state capitol in Olympia, WA, openly armed, this past Saturday in defiance of the newly passed gun control law, I-594.
“This isn’t just a protest. We are here to openly violate the law,” stated Gavin Seim, organizer of the event, named ‘I Will Not Comply’.

I will be happy to answer your question and give you a brief Civics lesson.
The Declaration of Independence says, in part, “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

If you notice, our Country was founded on the concept that there are ” Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” Now that we have established that our Founding Fathers respected God and understood that there are Universal Laws, let’s look at the key words “unalienable Rights.”
Unalienable Rights – incapable of being alienated, that is, sold and transferred.” Black’s Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, page 1523:
You can not surrender, sell or transfer unalienable rights, they are a gift from the creator to the individual and can not under any circumstances be surrendered or taken. All individual’s have unalienable rights.
The US Bill of Rights contains the 10 most important Right of all Americans, the 2nd on the list is the Right to keep and bear arms.
Now that your first question has been answered. Let me address your second question, which was: “… why are so many of you afraid of ANY restriction at all?”
It is not about fear, it is about violating the document on which the United States was founded. Amendment II says, ” … the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Shall not be infringed is pretty strong language. Restrictions (infringements) are dangerous to the entire Constitution because the Bill of Rights is the undergirding of our entire system. You simply cannot pick and choose which Rights you want to allow and which ones you are comfortable “restricting.” That is how dictatorships are born.
