This cop is nothing more than a street thug with a badge.
Watch this video as we see him assault a ‘special needs’ girl with no provocation on her end at all.
As one passenger states “It was obvious she had special needs”.
Another states “They got tired of dealing with her. They didn’t try to talk to her or anything”.
The officer tries to confiscate the video evidence of the event, threatening the veteran who taped with with arrest.
Almost every day we see stories of outrageous police brutality. As this country descends into a police state, the cops more and more are acting like common street thugs.
This is not how it happened… Just so you know..
1st we don’t why the officers were on the bus looking for this lady that did “absolutely nothing wrong”….not the sarcasm!!!! because police generally get on a bus look for a random person to beat up and take to jail!!!
2nd Brian is right…if some one spits on you…it is on all beats are off, that person must be secured and stopped from doing it again…
3rd James you are a moron and watch entirely too much TV…you don’t read someone their Miranda Rights when you arrest them, only when you ask them questions, further more police are trained to stop a threat before it happens, so even if she didn’t spit in the cop, but pursed her lips like she was going to, she got what she had coming
That is a good description of that officer…..a street thug with a badge! He had no reason to hit the disabled person. I hope he is fired!
So don’t make a funny face or look at him wrong… lol I like how you put that. There’s more to it than this I’m sure. But there’s boundaries.
Does not look good. Ya gotta wonder though…why no audio and why no video of the cop demanding the phone?? You’d think that he would have kept the video running. Did it really happen?
Chris Lawson-Rulli you are right in some of your statements but if it’s obvious that the lady had special needs then that officer should have thought twice before he struck her like that going through the academy officers have some basic training in dealing with people who are mentally ill and could have been handled differently. I’m sure that officers actions go against his departmental policies on the use of force continuum. I’m sure he had other options it’s L.A county the resources available to officers dealing with mentally ill people are abundant.. dealing with the mentally ill is a challenge don’t get me wrong but that could have been resolved more peacefully and professionally. As an officer under the public eye of scrutiny. You can’t handle every situation like they would a common street thug
I agree with Mr. Lawson-Rulli. While I did not enjoy physical confrontation as a police officer, it happens. People don’t want to go to jail and will thus fight you. Spitting on a police officer is a crime and exposes us to infectious disease, same as throwing feces or urine at us. And if you make a gesture which would lead a reasonable and prudent person to believe you’re going to spit in his face, just watch how fast an officer takes you down for it. Problem solved.
I know some educated people have already mentioned this, but you don’t have to be read your Miranda warning upon arrest, but prior to any custodial interrogation. And yes, it is a warning. They are not called ‘rights’ because Miranda v. Arizona did not grant any additional rights not previously enumerated in the constitution. The decision merely stated the police are required to INFORM you of your rights prior to interrogation.
That’s y sum of these mfukas get dealt with when they outta uniform lil hoe
Out of all the cops in the country, you see this video and say that’s why we hate cops. I’ve seen videos of blacks knocking out ladies, beating up gays, killing each other, robbing stores, so using your logic, we should all hate blacks? KKK was comprised of whites. Let’s hate them. Asians have triads. Italians have the Mafia, Muslims have Islamists, so let’s hate everyone.
We don’t know the whole story, but if, according to everyone’s judgements, he just cold $#%&!@*ed this lady for no reason, then yes, he should be brought up on charges.
