It may be popular in the circles of the elite to dish on Donald Trump, but such petty criticism isn’t very popular with the vast majority of Americans who support him.
One of the main issues discussed in the aftermath of the 2016 presidential elections was the embarrassing extent to which the press and polling industry got their predictions utterly and entirely wrong. Visibly outraged that Hillary Clinton, the preferred candidate of the establishment, lost to Trump, the media proceeded to publish a bunch of think pieces lamenting what they imagined to be the stupidity and racism of the lower classes for not voting the way they wanted to.
What they should have done, however, was examined the role their 24/7 bashing of Trump had in making ordinary people, who have been stiffed by the system for decades, ponder why they hated him so much and thus made him palatable to them. Indeed, if their actions since November are anything to go by, they still have yet to learn this important lesson.

Good riddance to another leftnut led company.
Closing distribution centers, Yes. Does this have anything to do with dropping Breitbart ads? Seriously???? This story is rediculous.
No, this isn’t about them dropping ads with Breitbart, it’s about them DROPPING THEIR ADS BECAUSE THEIR VALUES differ from those on conservative news sites. That’s exactly what the article said, and somehow you clearly missed that point. They used it as a political statement, and we are using our buying dollars as a political statement.
I feel bad for the employees. The CEO should be fired for taking a political stand that resulted in all these people losing their jobs. Before people jump up for joy think of all the families that’ll be hurt by this because of the stupidity of the company’s political stance. Of course, CEO maintains his job with his huge salary and bonus. Employees have no say so.
Should have kept big mouths shut.
F**e news. How dumb can you get?
All you have to do is search Matthew E. Ryan. The story itself is true not sure of closings and layoffs
I$#%&!@*you not, stocked up on cereal 2 days ago. Bought TEN boxes of POST cereal. On purpose. Suck it, Kelloggs.
This article is mostly BS.
First of all, it talks about the “vast majority” of Americans who support Trump. No such vast majority exists. He’s never polled higher than about the mid-40s. Right now his job approval rating is at about 35%. And, of course, where it matters, or should matter, the most – at the ballot box – he was rejected by a clear majority of voters and couldn’t even muster a plurality of the vote. So, no, there is no evidence that a vast majority of Americans are behind him.
As for Kelloggs, they seem to be switching from one delivery system to another. Basically, they’re going from delivering their product directly to retailers to delivering to their retailers’ warehouses so that their retailers can have more flexibility in how to deploy the product. This is a model that Kelloggs has used for non-cereal products for some time. It’s also part of a cost cutting program that’s been in place since 2013, well before any disputes with Breitbart or any boycotts. There’s no indication that this boycott has hurt it’s business. A bigger challenge has been people buying cheaper store brands since the Great Recession, and people buying less cereal overall because they’re often too busy to eat at home most mornings. (Personally, I don’t remember the last time I had breakfast at home on a work day. I usually grab a coffee and a bagel when I get to work.) Anyway, despite these challenges, Kelloggs remains a profitable company and its stock price went up when these changes were announced.
The loss of jobs is, of course, unfortunate. But Kelloggs has said that it hopes a sizeable number of its former workers will find work with the warehouses it will now be shipping to. So, hopefully, there won’t be dire consequences for too many people.

When are good business men going to take over these companies. Notice the evil old rich people have been quiet.
Mike, you don’t need to ask … you already know!
