Since the men and women who serve as judges attended law school, the question must be asked what these law schools are teaching. Or perhaps a better question would be, “with what are these law schools indoctrinating their students?” Far too often we learn of judicial decisions that make no sense, and we’re not talking only of the bizarre decisions federal judges have made regarding President Trump’s travel ban.
The courts have power because the people respect them and the executive branches enforce their decisions. Take these away, and the courts just turn into editorial departments. Sometimes it seems like that is the direction they wish to take.

What did they find, what were they stopped for?
There are many books that address how cops and prosecutors use the laws to make anyone they want into a criminal. There are so many laws on the books you can bet you are violating at least one law at all times. Cross a vindictive little bastard with a badge and look out.
This changes things. The seat was reclined after the stop to conceal the weapon. The driver had a felony conviction. The passenger a felony warrant. The baggie had a corner torn off. Good police work.

I have checked a hand full of the cases where money was taken. I did not find one where the victim seemed to be innocent. The best was the driver going in his statement from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. 30,000 dollars. He said in his case to get the money returned, that he won it at a casino. I found it hard to believe he won the money, cashed out at a casino and was never caught on camera. What do you think?
Just having the money makes him guilty? Many people still do not trust banks. This is simply a way for the gov’t to force EVERYTHING to be done through the banks so it can be tracked. There have been people who really were innocent caught up in this and its BS of the highest order.
It’s not illegal to conceal a gun in your car.
It is where I live. But its courtesy to tell the police if you are stopped. Its also illegal for a Felon to have one. Since both these people were criminals they had no business with a gun. But that serach criteria is BS.
Even IF the cop SAW the act of reclining the seat, that still isn’t an “unlawful act” in and of itself and cannot be claimed as “probable cause” to violate the Fourth Amendment. Another poster mentioned the fact that items could possibly be “hidden” in the trunk of a vehicle as well, so does a driver subject himself to getting “pulled over and searched” simply because his vehicle was manufactured with a trunk? What about the glove box? If it’s closed, should I expect to be pulled over and have my vehicle searched solely on the fact that it was closed? Not even close…
Yes, Wayne, please elaborate. How does an American standing up for and protecting his rights make you feel the need to tell him to be “glad you are not his boss”? Does that mean you have a problem with people who know their rights? If that’s the case, maybe YOU should be glad that I not YOUR boss.

What “government property”? Are you referring to the PUBLIC ROADS? The United States government doesn’t “own” anything whatsoever. The entire government is owned by The People.
