Since the men and women who serve as judges attended law school, the question must be asked what these law schools are teaching. Or perhaps a better question would be, “with what are these law schools indoctrinating their students?” Far too often we learn of judicial decisions that make no sense, and we’re not talking only of the bizarre decisions federal judges have made regarding President Trump’s travel ban.
The courts have power because the people respect them and the executive branches enforce their decisions. Take these away, and the courts just turn into editorial departments. Sometimes it seems like that is the direction they wish to take.
More on page two.
His charge was in Missouri. He complied with the Missouri court and his compliance did not leave him with a Missouri felony conviction. When means he was not a convicted felon in Missouri where he was arrested, charged, and had a trial. You need to get your eyeglasses adjusted.
Felony convictions follow you everywhere, but you’re right, he’s like a bad Jesus, and is entitled to gift cards and a pension.
Shitforbrains judges
Wars never work. War on poverty pushed. More people into poverty… War on illiteracy ill I can say is have you tried carrying on a conversation with a 20ish? War on drugs.
Maybe this new war on white people…
David Dement That’s because none of those were really wars. They were all politically motivated vote getting schemes conceived and conducted by morally bankrupt government hacks who by definition can’t and won’t practice common sense and discernment. Government programs, in order to be accepted by an increasingly lazy and irresponsible public, must be structured in such a way as to demand nothing from those voters in return for whatever the government is offering. So the end result is always the same; a bloated and inefficient bureaucracy aimed mainly at providing a secure income for those who work within it. A ship set sail for the convenience of the crew.
Amerika!
I don’t think the bias is a conservative one however. The left needs totalitarianism to survive.
Our justice system has become a fund for them. They aren’t here for our protection. They are here to make the city money now. For instance a quota to be filled. You must get this amount of charges a month. Government has to start working for the people before we won’t even be able to walk outside with out a fine
This article speaks nothing of plastic bags or reclined seats. It might be on page two but no-one should have to reach “page two” for the headline of an article
Ann Premo I was a cop for 30 years. And I do blame the ones who “just follow orders”. A real cop (or a real anyone) is not a blank slate to be written on by whoever is his boss. A real cop brings his own morality and values to the job, and sets those before any directive passed down from the higher ups. During my tenure, I was very successful and productive without resorting to the b******t tactics and bastardizations of the Constitution that were coming into fashion at the time. I once had a Sargent who called me into his office: “Dave, you’re a really good cop. I need something done, you get it done. You just don’t do it the way I tell you to.”
“That’s because I’m a good cop, Sarge”. He left me alone after that.
If folks would stand on their own two feet for something more important than job security, this world would be a much nicer place.
