Since the men and women who serve as judges attended law school, the question must be asked what these law schools are teaching. Or perhaps a better question would be, “with what are these law schools indoctrinating their students?” Far too often we learn of judicial decisions that make no sense, and we’re not talking only of the bizarre decisions federal judges have made regarding President Trump’s travel ban.
The courts have power because the people respect them and the executive branches enforce their decisions. Take these away, and the courts just turn into editorial departments. Sometimes it seems like that is the direction they wish to take.
More on page two.

Although I respect police now, that could easily change with this kind of c**p. There are plenty of people obviously breaking the law, no need to make stuff up.
The Kansas Kangaroo Court may feel this way, but the Constitution says differently and the Supreme Court may correct their stupidity.
If you are innocent why do you care?
A couple of mouse traps under the seat will cure that$#%&!@*..
I would hazard to guess we are not getting the totality of circumstances here. I would think there is more to this than a reclined seat and a torn bag. I don’t trust articles like this one as the person penning it usually have some axe to grind or slant for or against something or someone. So, they have a tendency to leave out any part that doesn’t fit their narrative or bias. Facts in this case are a little skimpy as to what led up to the need to search. A reclined car seat and a torn plastic bag do not equate to a non-consentual vehicle search.
All searches need to be done under video recording, to prove existence of evidence and non planting of it. When weak reasons are used for searches, and nothing is found, the person that has just had their rights violated should be compensated. Much like the traffic fines, but in reverse. The same with traffic tickets. if not guilty, then the fine should be paid to the defendant . This might curb some of the wrongful stops being performed. ( Just a thought)
so…if my vehicle is an extension of my house..does this mean my house can now be searched because im reclining on my couch?? eating a sandwich in a plastic sandwich bag??? it does if the cop wants to get shot while trying!!!!
Ray Todd Stevens Trayvon Martin had never been arrested, he broke no law the night he was murdered…..he had NO DNA from zimmerman anywhere on his hands…….
I had an LEO tell me he wasn’t a constitutional lawyer during a stop. Lol Such a Smartass, he probably never took the Oath to uphold anything, but their private club
Absolute BS. I support LE but this crosses a line.
