Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia bluntly told law students at the University of Hawaii in early 2014 that internment camps will one day detain Americans.
“You are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again.” In “times of war,” Scalia said, citing a Latin expression, “the laws fall silent.”
Of course, the U.S. government is currently engaged in the “war on terror”, which spans across our “Homeland” and the entire planet.

I googled FEMA locations anf got a long list. I researched a few and found that most are simply state prisons someone decided to call FEMA. Other researchers commented they got the same result on other locations.
One was simply an old amtrack station. Several are buildings inside military bases.
One was supposed to be near Fairbanks Alaska and able to hold 2 million people. Can find nothing about it but since that would be 3 times the entire population of Alaska, the whole idea is absurd.
One in WV is supposed to be located in a small town (about 15 miles from where I was born) along a highway I have traveled for 40 years. There is nothing around there but a few farms.
There is a state prison about 15 miles from there (on the same highway) and it has been there all my life. I have been inside several times and it is not FEMA.
When I first started hearing about these crazy rumors about m$#%&!@* prisons (40 years ago) they were supposed to be run by FBI or CIA.
Then about 20 years ago it was the UN.
Now I hear they are being run by FEMA.
Wonder who will be accused next.
Justice Scalia did not say anything about FEMA. But he may well be correct that some future authorities will unlawfully detain Americans. It’s happened before.
