Caving in to outcries that they represent the South’s racist past, Greg Fenves, the president of the University of Texas in Austin, announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be removed from the campus’s Main Mall and moved to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was moved as well to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

This is so sad
This is erasing history and that is when you lose your country to communism!
People in this state should have stood and and refused to let them do this by protesting or something. How do you think the powers at be are getting away with this, because citizens let them get away with it. Stand up for your rights.
I’m very offended at the liberties being taken with our history. How do these people get the idea that they can change history to suit themselves? In that case why don’t we just say American slavery didn’t exist, none of the atrocities happened? History happened. Acknowledging the good, the bad, the ugliness of some of it and learning from it is necessary. Stop tearing it down. Denying things existed will never defeat them.
They need to be put back in their place. The only people deeming them racist are the racist liberals.
Maybe the best President ever Cindy.
Why are people trying to change history? They need to put them back.
Yes we can remove everything you liberals believe in. It is only fair. Let’s do it.
Disgusting
American history ! ??? Removed ?
