Caving in to outcries that they represent the South’s racist past, Greg Fenves, the president of the University of Texas in Austin, announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be removed from the campus’s Main Mall and moved to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was moved as well to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

Idiots, it’s called history! !!
More racist to remove them
Sad. Just get real. History is still there and should be remembered
Oh give me a break from all this stupidity. History happened no changing the fact.
Idiots
Take all statues down. Martin Luther King, Barbara Jordan, the Muses, Littlefield, all the statues at the stadiums including Royal, get rid of them all. Why should any of them be honored?
None of them are perfect, and if you look deep enough you will find a reason to deny everyone a place of respect and honor. So, in fairness to all, remove them all,
cover all the area withgrass, and mow, mow, mow.
Austin Texas is pathetic. Removing history and letting the Muslims take over
even the southern liberals have no sense of history of the south or their people of importance because it is deemed racist .
Are they going to take the Martin Luther King signs off the streets also?
Stupid
