Caving in to outcries that they represent the South’s racist past, Greg Fenves, the president of the University of Texas in Austin, announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be removed from the campus’s Main Mall and moved to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was moved as well to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

Stop wiping out our history
The good and the bad
We learn from our mistakes
How stupid of us-this is part of history
If this is racist, what the hell is black history month. B******t people in this world.
Why do we allow this insanity?
This c**p has to stop!
FDR was also a known racist. And as Deputy Sec of the Navy he was responsible for a program that used sailors to entrap homosexuals in immoral acts. Yet I don’t hear anyone from the left demand that dear Mr. Roosevelt’s character or image be attacked. I guess this type of PC doesn’t apply to socialists.
So sad
No, they are part of our country’s history !
Stupid College and they wonder why their students are crying and needing a safe place. Give me a break. Check throughout history there is alot of Violence! Are you going to try to erase that too.
Politically correctness to the extreme is never right. Our history has good bad and ugly…. that’s how you learn ….. from our history…. not from agenda driven political correctness….
