Jarrod let’s start with the fact that your half a million number encompasses every civilian that died of any cause. It also doesn’t take into account civilian combatants. As for what we are preserving. There were terrorists in them there hills and they want to take your freedom. As for your absurd statement about no terrorist attacks prior to western occupation. That has become more prevelant with the permiation of technology. In other words making it easier to get here. There weren’t many Muslims in the US until relatively recently.
